Lamadrid was founded by Guillermo García Lamadrid, who came to Mendoza from Cuba in 2000 in search of a unique terroir to create great wines.
The winery, which was named in honor of his maternal surname, was born in 1950, but began to be used by the Lamadrid family in 2007, combining traditional forms with current oenology technologies. The vineyards have an area of 102 hectares, distributed in three estates: Lamadrid, La Suiza and Matilde, an expression of the Agrelo terroir and the high-end.
The winemakers accompanying this adventure are the brothers Héctor and Pablo Durigutti, who from day one know the vineyards and the winery.
“Lamadrid pays tribute to my mother, the woman who opened the door for me to give me the opportunity to live and spread my wings to enjoy the magic of life. There is no glory without sacrifice. My eternal thanks." Guillermo Garcia Lamadrid. Viticulturist. Founder of Lamadrid Estate Wines.
