The Bodega Noemía de Patagonia project was born with the discovery of an old vineyard, planted with Malbec grapes in the 1930s in a remote corner of the Río Negro valley.
It was founded by Countess Noemi Marone Cinzano, a famous Italian wine producer, and the Danish winemaker Hans Vinding-Diers, who perceived the suitability of the place and the perfect microclimate of the valley for the production of high quality wines.
The vines in the Winery are 100% organic and biodynamic, mainly Malbec, with some plots of Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. It is irrigated up to 4 times a year by flooding with water from the Río Negro, through an ingenious canal system that dates back almost 2 centuries.
