Altamira is mountain, extreme climate. Stillness and calm combine with the intensity of the Tunuyán alto. It is the most proportionate of the Fincas since it has an immense aromatic range, with notes ranging from black and red fruits to flowers, spices and minerals.
It is rich, fresh and opulent. Complex and fascinating. Altamira will always surprise us with each new harvest.
Finca Altamira was planted in 1950 at the foot of the Andes, on the south bank of the Tunuyán River. Altamira is a mountain with extreme weather. The growing conditions are so challenging and the soil profile so unique that the typicity of this Malbec goes beyond its normal descriptors. Orange peel and balsamic flavors blend harmoniously with the violet and red fruit notes typical of Malbec. The mineral notes and a marked acidity give this wine its own unique identity.
