ASA NISI MASA is a magic formula, a code used by children to prevent adults from understanding them and thus escape from their world. ASA NISI MASA reminds adults of their remote childhood dreams. The wines do not pass through oak. The vinification of these wines focuses on freshness, tension and fruit. The first vintage was a 2015 Malbec, then a Bonarda was made in 2017 and finally a Cabernet Franc in 2020.
These wines are a tribute to the surreal universe of film director Federico Fellini, whose works are often compared to those of Argentina's most famous writer, Jorge Luis Borges, and his magical realism.
"With six months of aging in cement tanks and without passing through barrels, this pure and fruity expression of Malbec comes from young vineyards planted to the south of Altamira, almost on the border with El Brush and at the southern end of the Valley of Uco. It is intense in notes of violets, but also generous in tastes of ripe red fruits. The tannins are very reactive, firm in their task of sustaining the weight of the fruit."
