Score: 95 Tim Atkin
Best Petit Verdot from Argentina by Tim Atkin in his 2020 annual report.
Blackish wine with violet tints, very typical of this varietal. It is about
of a complex wine, with several aromatic layers. Notes of graphite and
smoked, refreshed with some herbal flash such as laurel or menthol, and fruits
black as cassis In the mouth it is opulent and intense at the entrance and then juicy,
with edges and vibrant youth, which will evolve over time.
"“A crazy wine”, this is how Santiago Mayorga describes this pure Petit Verdot of the excellent
Sub-region of Valle de Uco de Los Chacayes, which is dense, complex and finely judged, with aromas of wild herbs, very dense and adherent tannins, flavors of plum, black fig and concentration. 12% new wood adds some shine. To drink between 2022-28." Tim Atkin
