Adrianna Vineyards White Bones Chardonnay 2020 best Argentine white wine by James Suckling in his 2022 report.
The name of this small White Bones plot “Huesos Blancos” refers to the composition of the soil that has the presence of calcareous fossil remains of animals settled on the bed of a dry river that crossed the region. The wines from the grapes obtained there present different floral notes with a particular mineral note that refers to the earth.
“The Adrianna Vineyard White Bones Chardonay from Catena Zapata, Mendoza, continues to
surprising in each vintage, and 2020 is no exception. I still maintain that this wine is the Montrachet of South America, comparable to the best Chardonnays from the French Cote d'Or”. “Exquisite nose of lavender, lemon, pineapple, green apple, thyme, rosemary, sourdough, almonds and oysters. Medium-bodied, with vibrant acidity and a tense, spicy palate. Intense flavors and aromas. Incredibly expressive, with complex notes of fresh fruit, spices, flowers and herbs. To save or drink now” James Suckling
