"The subtle, balanced and elegant 2019 DV Catena Tinto Histórico was made from a blend of 75% Malbec, 19% Bonarda and 6% Petit Verdot, and each grape seems to contribute very well to the blend, making it balanced, harmonious and complex and especially very nice and drinkable. It has moderate alcohol, round tannins and a lively and fresh mouth. 117,600 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2020.
The new "DV Catena Apelación" labels are a tribute to Don Domingo Vicente Catena, the father of Nicolás Catena Zapata, who in the 1930s was famous for his red blend, a wine that he sold in Buenos Aires as one of the “most fine wines from Mendoza”. Luis Gutierrez - The Wine Advocate - Robert Parker
