Score: 95 James Suckling - Nº1 in Argentina and South America according to Wine Spectator.
"It is really extraordinary to be one of the 4 Argentine wines that are part of the 100 best in the world and, in addition, this year we are the #1 wine in South America." Laura Catena
“Surprising depth and intensity for this old vine malbec with blackberry character and black liquorice in the wine. Violets too. It is full and dense, but still energetic and long. Polished and refined tannins. A lovely plush red. Drinkable now for your generosity, but let it soften with a few years of aging in the bottle. Better after 2024." James Suckling
Luca Wines, a project by Laura Catena, which seeks to promote old vineyards in Argentina. "Since at Catena Zapata we only use grapes from our own vineyards, I became obsessed with working with old vines. Thus, I found a couple of jewels of malbec, syrah, cabernet sauvignon and pinot noir. From these discoveries my business was born, which values the vineyards of producers, something that did not exist in our country." Laura Catena
