Score: 92 James Suckling
This Cabernet Franc is a wine made with grapes from the Paraje Altamira
within the Uco Valley. This area is located at 1500 meters above sea level. Here the ground has
particularity of being located where the alluvial cone of the Tunuyán River used to be.
It presents typical aromas of the variety, with slightly herbal and fruity notes. The style we are looking for is slightly herbal on the nose and frankly fruity on the palate, with a lot of freshness on the finish.
Puramun is the personal project of José “Pepe” Galante, one of the most important oenologists in Argentine history. As Head of Oenology at Catena Zapata from 1976 to 2010, he showed the world that Argentina could make great quality wines. That is the reason why many refer to him as "the father of modern oenology" in Argentina.
"This is a fresh red with ripe dark blue fruits with some light spices, blue flowers and a hint of leaves. A bit tight, medium body and firm tannins. Bright and vibrant with a savory finish. Drink or store." James Suckling
