Eolo is the icon wine of Bodega Trivento, produced in a privileged place. At an altitude of 983 meters, a high ground extends over the north bank of the Mendoza River. This centennial vineyard was planted in 1912 in the renowned First Zone of Lujan de Cuyo. There are 20 hectares with a double Guyot conduction system, of which only 4 are chosen for this wine.
The Eolo refuge is defined by its relationship with the Mendoza River. Conditions of Soil, Water, Climate and Winds, which together with man have cared for this vineyard for generations. The Soil was formed by the passage of ancient channels. The thaws provide the necessary water for the plants. The climate is softened by its proximity to the river. The higher location minimizes the effects of Winds.
Intense red color with violet tones and black tints. Aromas of ripe fruits such as cherries and figs. Its passage through the barrel provides notes of bitter chocolate and tobacco, perfectly balanced. On the palate it has a sweet entry with balanced tannins, it delivers a complex and silky mid palate. Full-bodied wine with a persistent finish.
Germán highlights: "After the long rest, the soils of Luján de Cuyo show their power and the centenary Malbec… its wisdom. The 2018 vintage is marked by the cold and dry winter. The hot summer, typical of Mendoza, and the mild autumn turgid and concentrated grapes. Year after year, we deepen the interpretation of this terroir defined by its relationship with the river."
"Loamy-clay profiles interspersed with limestone express its elegance and identity in this wonderful wine. Fruity notes of cherries and raspberries, subtly combined with aromas of dark chocolate, unfold in the glass. On the palate it is a Malbec with great structure, silky texture and intrepid fluidity that give a long and elegant finish", comments Germán, the winery's oenologist.
