Gaudeo derives from the Latin Guadere which means rejoice, enjoy, like. “This project emerges as an interpretation of the diversity and nuances of the Uco Valley. The pleasure, joy and happiness that we find in creating these wines surprise with the best expression of each microterroir” Germán Di Césare, winemaker at Bodega Trivento.
These are three Malbec wines from micro terroirs of the Uco Valley. A new line of high-end microterroir wines from Gualtallary, Paraje Altamira and San Pablo.
This Single Vineyard originates from the San Pablo district. With alluvial soil, near the Las Tunas River and a high presence of carbonates, is the vineyard planted in 2011. In Gaudeo Tunuyán tension appears as a differential, offering wines with a wild character and structured with sharp tannins.
"San Pablo is one of the coldest and highest areas of Uco, attached to the foothills and a height that exceeds 1,500 meters. The malbecs from there are like this example, severe in acidity, linear, vertical. For who wants to show that place through this strain, there are not many alternatives in such a radical area. This one has acidic fruits and, although it retains the sweetness of the variety, here the acidity and the tension of the tannins rule." Patricio Tapia - Descorchados Guide
