The first Chardonnay clones began to arrive in Argentina in the early 1990s, and ten years later, this La Verdad vineyard was planted with this clonal material (in this case, clone 76, which produces fresher wines). The climate of São Paulo here plays a very important role. The acidity is firm, tense. There is no room for tropical fruit, only herbs and citrus in a wine of great linearity and austerity.
For years, Alejandro Sejanovich has toured Mendoza looking for forgotten vineyards on the limits of the vast Mendoza territory; meeting producers, observing the particularities of their soils and discovering the potential that they hide. Wanted Dead or Alive is born from the result of this experience; showing various vineyards where Chardonnay achieves a particular expression of the place, showing the diversity of the micro terroir of the Uco Valley.
