a little pearl It comes from a small plot on our farm in Paraje Altamira, which has an alluvial soil with rocks covered in calcareous from the surface.
"The 2016 Supercal comes from half a hectare of very shallow soils where the rocks covered by limestone are very close to the surface; It is a type of soil that works wonders in cold years, none like 2016, a type of soil that can become overly stressed in hotter, drier years, where the harvest date is key and is usually earlier.
The wine fermented in concrete eggs, and about 30% of the wine was put into used barrels; then, a vinification similar to the Piedra Infinita and Canal Uco bottlenecks. This is more austere than the Infinity Stone but perhaps not as complete or complex. There is some austerity that makes it somewhat wild, in the direction of a Gualtallary wine. 1,800 bottles were filled in February 2017. ¨ Luis Gutierrez, The Wine Advocate
